EP 43 - Action Interviews - Darren Shahlavi Star of IP Man 2 and Bloodmoon

This week we present the second of our special interview shows as we were VERY lucky to recently get to speak to British actor, stuntman and martial artist Darren Shahlavi.

Darren has starred opposite show favourite Gary Daniels in Bloodmoon, Steven Seagal in Born To Raise Hell, Steve Austin in The Package and the legendary Donnie Yen in the seminal Ip Man 2, among others.

He has also worked on films such as The Chronicles of Riddick, 300 and Watchmen as a stunt fighter.

Darren shares his story with us from growing up in England, studying Judo and dreaming of the silver screen to making his dreams come true and working with the biggest and the best!

It's a GREAT interview and we can't thank Darren Shahlavi enough!

BLOODMOON COMMENTARY

A surprisingly brilliant and martial arts action packed film this week as Daniels proves he truly is a force to be reckoned with as he goes up against the long haired laughing boy killer with steel toe caps who has been killing off champions all round New York (or North Carolina).

Bloodmoon is a ton of fun and we guarantee if you give this film a chance you will be more than pleasantly surprised.

HAWK'S VENGEANCE COMMENTARY

So, Gary Daniels Month continues in the underground bunker stocked out with cake and hand grenades that is Dr.Action and Kick Ass Kid's home and this week we're looking at the 1996 action thriller comedy Hawk's Vengeance.

The film includes a scene, and I'm not kidding, where Gary Daniels and an Asian gentleman dress up as hasidic jews with shot guns which is preceded by the line "Let's go and kill two turds with one stone". I don't really need to say anything else do I.
